Living with adenomyosis has been a deeply personal and challenging experience. This under-researched condition, often dismissed or overshadowed in medical discourse, offers few treatment options beyond invasive surgeries such as a hysterectomy. Alongside managing polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), I’ve found myself navigating a complex relationship with my body—one marked by pain, frustration, and resilience.

Through my practice, I have channelled these struggles into my creative work. My pieces delve into the physical and emotional toll of these hidden illnesses, aiming to illuminate their often-overlooked impact. By intertwining historical research and personal narrative, I hope to foster dialogue around the gendered biases in healthcare and the broader societal neglect of women’s health issues.

These works are not just an exploration of pain but also a protest against silence, aiming to empower others with shared experiences to feel seen, validated, and supported.

Adenomyosis.
